OUR HISTORY · SINCE 1992

One founder.
A world of flavour.

Abdul Hafiz founded FlavourTech in 1992. From powdered drinks and Mak-C, the business grew into a family of food and beverage brands, manufacturing sites and market partnerships.

1992

ABDUL HAFIZ · MAK-C

A founder. A factory. A first drink.

Abdul Hafiz founded FlavourTech in 1992. The first plant focused on powdered drinks, and Mak-C became the starting point of our own-brand story.

That beginning matters to the business we are today: making food and beverages, building brands and working with the people who bring those products to their markets.

2002

THE RANGE BEGINS TO BROADEN

A place at the breakfast table.

Breakfast drinks joined the range in 2002. A decade after the beginning, our powder-manufacturing business was moving beyond its original drink offering.

It was an early step towards the broader food and beverage portfolio that would follow, with products for more everyday occasions.

2004

A REGIONAL COMMERCIAL BASE

Dubai brings us closer to our markets.

A Dubai regional office opened in 2004 to serve the Middle East and Africa. It added a commercial base closer to distributors and the markets where our brands were growing.

The regional business developed through Aromis, founded in Dubai in the same year. Its work in export management, brand development and distributor relationships became part of our wider international story.

THE WORK BEHIND THE MILESTONES

Building the business,
piece by piece.

Production buildings, loading yards and the daily movement of products form another part of our history. Growth meant making room for new equipment, new products and more work on the factory floor.

2006

A SECOND PLANT · TRI-C

More room to make. Another brand to grow.

A second production plant was built in Türkiye in 2006, expanding the manufacturing side of the business. Tri-C joined the brand portfolio in the same year.

The two developments tell different parts of the same story: investing in production while giving distributors another brand to take to market alongside Mak-C.

2008

BAKING AND DESSERTS

The story takes a sweeter turn.

Jelly, crème caramel, custard and whipping cream expanded the range in 2008. Desserts brought a new set of products into a business that had started with powdered drinks.

This was a significant broadening of the portfolio, adding products for home baking, preparation and serving.

2010

TUNISIA · NOODLES

A new country. A different kind of production.

A plant in Tunisia was built for noodles in 2010. The business now had a manufacturing chapter beyond Türkiye and a product that called for a different production process from powdered mixes.

Our El Agba, Tunis operation remains dedicated to noodles and ramen. That distinction is still important in understanding what we manufacture and where.

2015

BOUILLON · SOUPS · SEASONINGS

A bigger savoury chapter.

A further plant in Türkiye added bouillon cubes, soups and seasonings to the manufacturing story in 2015.

From a drink prepared in a glass to products used in the cooking pot, the range was now reaching more parts of everyday food preparation. The savoury business became another substantial part of our product offering.

THE YEARS BETWEEN THE MILESTONES

Growth happened
in the market, too.

Not every important chapter begins with a new building. Market visits, promotional stands and product tastings helped connect our brands with the people buying and selling them.

Our archive records earlier packaging and products on shelves, alongside the teams introducing them. It is a reminder that manufacturing and market development have grown together.

Working with distributors also meant listening to local preferences and considering how a flavour, product or format would fit a particular market.

ANOTHER SIDE OF THE BUSINESS

From our brands
to yours.

As the business developed, private-label manufacturing became another way to put our capabilities to work. Product development and production could support a customer’s own brand as well as our established portfolio.

That changed the kind of conversations we could have: from selecting a product in our range to working through a project’s recipe, packaging, market and manufacturing requirements.

Today, own brands, private labels and ingredients for food producers are distinct ways of working with FlavourTech. Each draws on the manufacturing business built over these years.

2018

MIAMI · FROM OUR TRADE-SHOW ARCHIVE

A wider stage
for our brands.

Our Miami exhibition photographs from 2018 show the range being presented together: drinks, noodles and savoury products, with visitors meeting the team at the stand.

Trade shows became one of the places where our manufacturing story met new commercial relationships. They sit alongside market visits, promotions and ongoing distributor work in the history of our international growth.

Relationships carry the products further.

Since 1992, our products have been exported to 92 countries. That is the cumulative reach of the business over its history, built through many markets and partnerships.

BÄSE JOINS THE PORTFOLIO

A new chapter
in everyday sweetness.

Bäse tabletop sweeteners joined the portfolio in 2026, bringing our consumer-brand family to ten.

From Mak-C in 1992 to Bäse today, the portfolio reflects a business that has continued to add products, categories and ways to serve its markets.

The story now includes nine product categories, our own brands, customer-brand projects and ingredients for other food and beverage manufacturers.
