QUESTIONS YOU COULD EXPLORE

Start with a question.
See where it leads.

Think about the question you would enjoy working on. Your introduction can focus on a subject, a university project or a practical skill you want to develop.

  • How would you compare opportunities for a product in a new market?
  • How would you record and compare the results of a product trial?
  • How could a report, digital tool or process make everyday work clearer?

The work and learning focus are agreed for each placement, with the relevant team and supervision.

HOW IT WORKS

Know your
next step.

You bring your interests and availability. We look at where they could fit with the work and supervision available in the relevant team.

Introduce your interests.

Choose your department and location, share your studies and a project or practical example, and tell us your proposed dates.

We review the fit.

The recruitment team for your selected location considers your introduction. If there is a suitable possibility, we contact you to discuss it.

Agree the placement details.

Before a placement is confirmed, discuss the work, learning focus, supervision, dates and any school or university requirements with the team.

YOUR NEXT STEP

A little about you.
A place to start.

Share your course and year of study, preferred department, location and placement dates. A class project or practical assignment is a useful example of what interests you.

You can include a CV if you have one. It is optional.

BEFORE YOU TAKE THAT STEP

A few things you may
be wondering.

Do I need previous work experience?

Start with your studies, interests and any course or personal projects you would like us to know about. The requirements depend on the particular placement. Your introduction helps us consider where there may be a fit.

Can I apply when no internship is advertised?

Yes. You can introduce your interest through the internship form. Availability depends on the team, location, supervision and proposed dates. An introduction does not confirm a placement.

How are the placement details agreed?

If there is a potential fit, the team will discuss the work, learning focus, location and dates with you, along with any school or university requirements. Our internships are in office, laboratory and technical roles.

What if I have seen an internship on LinkedIn?

Follow the application instructions in that vacancy. They give you the specific requirements and put your application with the team handling that opportunity.
